This Privacy Policy explains what information Tradeora ("we", "us", "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Tradeora mobile app and any related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: email address, username, and password (stored securely and never in plain text).

Profile information: profile picture, bio, and any other details you choose to add.

Trading & journal data: checklist completions, discipline scores, streaks, journal entries, P&L calendar entries, and badge/XP progress you create in the App.

Social data: friend connections, squad membership, and leaderboard activity, if you choose to use these features.

Device & usage information: app version, device type, and general usage analytics to help us fix bugs and improve the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the App's core features (checklist, discipline score, journal, badges, squads)
• To generate your AI session reads and summaries
• To send notifications you've opted into (streak reminders, accountability alerts, challenge updates)
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service
• To respond to support requests

3. What We Don't Do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your trading journal content with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate Tradeora, which may process data on our behalf:

• Backend & authentication — for account storage and data sync (e.g. Supabase)
• Subscription billing — for managing Pro subscriptions (e.g. RevenueCat, Apple)
• AI provider — to generate session reads and journal insights (e.g. Anthropic)
• Push notifications — to deliver reminders and alerts (e.g. Expo/Apple Push Notification service)

Each provider only receives the data necessary to perform its function and is contractually restricted from using it for other purposes.

5. Your Rights & Choices

• Access & export: download a copy of your data anytime from Settings → Download My Data
• Delete your account: permanently delete your account and associated data from Settings → Delete Account
• Notification preferences: control what you're notified about from Settings → Notifications
• Profile privacy: make your profile private to non-friends from Settings → Privacy

If you're in the EU/UK or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data and content within [30] days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

Tradeora is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via the App or email.
